Prepared in line with the Türkiye Sustainable Tourism Program by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

At New Balturk Hotel Izmit, we view sustainable tourism not only as a legal requirement but as a vital responsibility we undertake for future generations and our community. Aware of the environmental, social, and economic impacts of our operations, we are committed to using our resources efficiently, developing eco-friendly practices, and maximizing social benefit.

All our efforts are carried out in full compliance with current environmental legislation, occupational health and safety standards, and sustainable tourism policies, making this policy an integral part of our operations.

Our Accessibility Policy
Prepared in line with the Türkiye Sustainable Tourism Program by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Legal Framework
Due to our room capacity, our facility is not legally required to provide accessible rooms under the “Regulation on the Certification and Qualifications of Tourism Facilities.” According to the regulation, hotels with 80 or more rooms must have a designated number of accessible rooms. As a 53-room city hotel, we are not subject to this requirement; however, we voluntarily implement accessibility-focused improvements to enhance the comfort of our guests.

Accessibility Measures

Accessible Bathrooms in Guest Rooms
We offer 3 guest rooms specially designed with accessible shower areas and equipment. These rooms feature level flooring, wide access areas, and easy-to-use bathroom amenities for the comfort of guests with disabilities.

Elevator Access
Our elevator provides access to all floors of the hotel and is suitable for wheelchair use, with spacious and quiet operation.

Accessible Common Restroom
Our ground-floor common restroom has been designed for ease of access and use by guests with mobility limitations.

Entrance and External Access
The hotel entrance includes a mobile platform lift and ramp, enabling independent access for guests with physical disabilities.

Our Approach
Although we are not legally required to do so, we see our accessibility measures as part of our corporate responsibility. We continuously work to improve our infrastructure to ensure a more inclusive experience for guests with physical limitations.

Feedback on accessibility is treated as an important component of guest satisfaction. Each suggestion is considered a building block of our improvement efforts.


Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation Policy
Prepared in line with the Türkiye Sustainable Tourism Program by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

At New Balturk Hotel Izmit, we consider the protection of local wildlife a core principle of our sustainable tourism approach. We adopt a respectful and nature-conscious perspective in all our services to maintain the ecological balance in our surroundings.

Our Practices
We carefully conduct our operations with consideration for the habitats of birds, small mammals, insects, and other wildlife near our facility.

We inform our guests not to approach, feed, or interfere with wild animals or disrupt their natural life cycles.

We encourage nature interaction activities such as photography and observation to be conducted silently and from a distance, promoting eco-friendly behavior.

In case of unusual wildlife encounters, we facilitate communication with the relevant authorities and institutions to ensure appropriate action is taken.

No activities, products, or services involving captive wildlife or animals used for commercial or entertainment purposes are permitted within our premises.

Guest Information
The success of our conservation efforts depends directly on the awareness and sensitivity of our guests. Therefore, we kindly ask you to follow the guidance below when spending time in nature:

  • Do not approach, touch, or feed wild animals.

  • Avoid entering nesting areas, water sources, or natural shelters.

  • Do not use flash photography, play loud music, or make sudden movements.

  • Keep your pets under control and avoid contact with wildlife.

  • Observe wildlife quietly and from a distance using binoculars or zoom lenses.

  • If you notice an injured or unusual animal, please inform the hotel reception so we can contact relevant experts.

The sustainability of nature depends not only on protecting specific species but also on preserving their habitats.
